What I saw this week...

Many big name schools this week had tough games, South Carolina, Stanford, Florida, Wisconisin, Oklahoma all played games that were close against inferior opponents who were up for the game. Alabama, USC, LSU all looked good in their opening match ups.  Alabama looks like it's capable of being the first team to repeat as National champion in the BCS era.  Early on Denard Robinson is probably out of the heisman talk, while Matt Barkley is certainly in and probably the front runner.  I like La'Veon Bell and Andre Ellington as possible dark horses.  West Virginia looks like a good candidate to win the Big 12 conference. Dana Holgerson's offense scored early and scored often as other Big 12 powers OU, Texas, and K-State struggled early against inferior opponents.
